Hawaii Day Two 08.05.12

By the second day we were adjusted and got right to living life as Hawaiians. We ate breakfast on a boogie board out on the Lanai and then set out for a busy day in Honalulu. We stopped at Pail lookout which is a beautiful lookout on the way there but Charlotte was asleep so Lyla and Dad went there. When we got into the city we went to the “Hot Hill” also known as The Swap Meet. Oh my goodness, that was hot and exhausting. Lyla, you wanted every single toy and trinket you could get your hands on. Charlotte, you were hot and grumpy! You both made out with dresses, bracelets, a fan and a Minnie slap bracelet. After that we went to Waikiki Park and hung around there and then went to the Waikiki Aquarium. It was awesome! We saw all sorts of amazing sea life including all sorts of fish, turtles, seals and even a whale. There were a few that you guys got to touch. You two got so excited. Lyla, you would point out the “mommy” and “baby” fishies. Charlotte, you would SMASH your face against the glass to get a good look. LOL After that we walked through the beautiful Banyan trees along the Waikiki Beach. They’re millions of years old and have the most amazing vines and roots. You two hung from them like rope. We ate along the beach and did some people watching and then headed home. The humidity can be so exhausting and we were just spent by the time we got home.
