This day we went to Lankai; ranked as one of the top 5 most beautiful beaches in the world. On the drive there we stopped a roadside van for Malasades: which is a cream filled donut that comes with all sorts of toppings. They were divine, but mostly got devoured by Lyla; the donut lover. Our day at Lanaikai was one of my most favorites. There’s nothing like the white sandy beaches and turquoise water. We brought coolers and just spend the entire day along the beach. We spotted several sea turtles which was so exciting for me. I kept trying to help you two see them but you couldn’t. Dad and I both got some time to go snorkeling where I couldn’t reached out and touched the turtle a hundred times. I desperately wanted Lyla to see a turtle because she loved them so I took her out farther than I should’ve to help you see but you still couldn’t spot it. Jenny and Kenton got Kayaks that we took you two out on. Just then a big ole turtle popped up and you got to see it. You got so excited. It was quite the thrill. I just loved spending each day with you two digging sand castles and swimming. Charlotte, you were so good to nap on the drives and did great swimming. We got another boat thing for this day so you both got to float out in the water together. I caked the sunscreen on all day and we still left a little red.

That night we went into Haleiwa and ate Mexican food. It was so yummy; probably the best place we ate.
