I’ve always been an astronomy nerd and couldn’t wait for the Eclipse! We ordered our Eclipse glasses from Amazon weeks before which ended up being a very good thing because the local stores sold out of them in a snap. That morning I made you guys a moon and a sun pancake (tinted yellow and blue), and explained what we were going to watch later that day. Lyla, you’re very into the sun and the moon so I knew you’d think it was very cool. Anytime we have a full moon you get so excited and point it out. Later that day we went up to Grandma’s to share in the fun. We were able to watch all the different phases of the Eclipse which was really fun. I was taken aback at just how bright it was. We were very careful to make sure the glasses were firmly fastened so that there was no eye damage because it was really bright!
