To my little Muffins, for some reason I really want to write about what I want for our relationship when you’re bigger.  Before I do that, let me know remind you both just how much I love you.  How much I am in awe of you.  How much I treasure you both.  First, when you become teenagers, when life knocks you down and introduces you to insecurities and cruelties' please always know that you can come to me and dad.  I want you two to both always feel like you can be imperfect.  I want you to know that you can make mistakes and be vulnerable and that we all need to do this.  That we’re all imperfect and need understanding and love.  I want you to know that even in the darkest times you’re never alone and that they won’t last.  There’s always light.  I want to be the mom you cry to.  The one that gets in pjs and sits around eating chocolate and watching lame teenager movies with you because you want to.  I know you’re not going to be dying to spend time with us when you’re teenagers but I really hope that you’ll spend time with your friends at our house.   I really want you to know that I’m never too busy for you and I’ll always just sit and chill if that’s what you need.  I’m afraid I act like life is all about productivity.  It’s not.  Sometimes being lazy is productive.  When you have babies I want you to feel comfort and more at ease when I’m there.  I want to make your house clean and cook you dinner and make you feel like a princess because you are.  I want you to be able to cry when you’re happy and cry when you’re sad.  I want to enjoy the little things along side of you.

Some things about you Charlotte:

-You are so expressive.  You give the best little stink eyes and the sweetest..like total sweetest smiles.

-You pretend play so impresses me just like Lyla’s does.  You already make me fake food and share it with me by pretend nibbling

-You are really quite obedient!  If I ask you to grab me something you jump right on it like a robot!  I love it.

-You LOVED Hawaii.  You did really great going with the flow and just loved digging in dirt all day

-You now pull Lyla’s move of “bum in your face!” and will pat your bum and say bu bu bu with the biggest grin on your little face.

-You also do that “pat pat pat pat” part on Little Einsteins.! Not that you’ll actually watch the show  but you’ll do that part!

-You say more like “moeh”.  It’s so cute

-You beg with two hands in this very desperate beckoning motion.  You’d think we never gave you anything you wanted or fed you.

-You’re learning your body parts!   You know all the major parts now

-You also say “pe bee” for peekabo, no, hug, hello (Like “low!”), banana (nana), bug and lots of other words

-You know how to swipe my phone to turn it on.

-I just know your little curious and specially gifted self will be good at math.  Thank goodness!

-You know most of your animals and can point to them in a book

-You like Raisins!  I love that you like random things

-You’ve gotten better with the mommy mouseyness but still won’t get out of the crib if your dad comes to get you!  I swear you do it to tease him.  You two kind of have that relationship and I think it’s adorable.

Some Things about you Lyla:

-If me or Charlotte gets hurt you’ll say “oh Sweety”.  It’s so cute.  You really are such a good big sis.  At music you are sure to grab things for Charlotte too and look out for her all the time

-I just love how excited you get about things.  You get breathless when you’re trying to tell me something.  It’s so adorable

-I try not to say “no” or “don’t do ___” as much since sometimes I feel like that’s all I say to you since you’re a crazy little busy body so instead I give you options like “you can do ___ but you can’t do __”.  HA!  One day I was doing this and you said to me “mom!  Don’t give me options!”.  LOL

-SO you know the correct body parts and have no problem saying them.  One day Charlotte was trying to breastfeed and was very upset because I wasn’t letting her.  You said “Char you can have my nipple”.  AHAHAHA

-You definitely can have “tude” when you want to.  One day you waited in the car for like 20 minutes because you wanted to go to the park on the way home from grocery shopping but I said we had to eat lunch first.  Another time you were mad at me and said “mom! get out of my room!” and stopped your feet!  Another time you were mad about something and I asked you what was the matter.  You said “mom!  I don’t want to talk about it!” with all sorts of attitude.  WATCH OUT!!

-You had to go to the doctor for a sore throat and the doctor listened to you breath.  So when we got home you busted out your doctor bag and put the stethoscope on my back and said “breath in” and then said “good job”.  LOL

-You too LOVED Hawaii.  You are the kind of child that just lives for fun.  For going, seeing, and doing.  Almost every day for the first few weeks would would ask if we could live in Hawaii.  Now your thing is to hold up any random item and say “I got this in Hawaii”.  Haha.

-You also think everything I’m doing is for your birthday.  One day I was cutting some paper for a craft we were going to do and you said “ahh you’re making that for my birthday!”.  LOL

-You ask to go to the mountain almost every Sunday since we went one time after church.  It cracks me up

-We got this big compilation for Disney Stories at the Library and you are IN LOVE.  We spent so much time reading it before you had to go back

-We’ve been trying to do some quite time while Charlotte takes her nap.  Some days you ask to lay in my bed and snuggle.  I love it

-You love the game hide n seek and get so excited when all four of us play

-You have definitely taken on the role of the bossy big sister.  You call Charlotte your puppy or your baby and will tell her what to do and she’ll do it! We try to explain to you about her free agency but you don’t really get it.  haha

-When we go to leave somewhere now you say “I need to get my makeup on”.  It' kind of makes me question what kind of message I send to you.  I always tell you that you’re too beautiful for makeup but don’t like that I send that message.

-When you get excited you say “can I tell you somting”.  It’s so cute

-One day I said I had a frog in my throat.  A few days later you coughed and said “I have a cow in my throat”.  LOL
