St. Patrick's Day

Lyla and Lottie…St. Patrick’s Day was a fun day to eat green things and be surrounded by Shamrocks, treasures and good luck.  I always say holidays are more fun with you two around, but it’s especially fun with Lyla understanding things about the holiday.  I love when you get so excited by something new you’ve learned like “look! a Shamrock!”  You had green milk for breakfast and then dad took you into the bedroom while a treasure hunt awaited you.  I couldn’t do it before because Miss Lottie wakes before you and she would destroy it!!  You waited impatiently while I hid them.  When it was finally time, you walked out to find a path of Shamrocks.  You instantly knew what to do and started picking them up and following them.  It led you to a delicious treasure awaiting on your toy box!  You got so excited and started unwrapping your treasures.  Lottie was unamused by the whole experience by did eat a few paper shamrocks Smile  As the day went on you two started to get feverish and mopey.  Little did we know this would be the start of a cold AND stomach flu.  It was brutal, but this day you guys were just tired and weak.  So we exchanged our green clothes for green pjs and laid around the rest of the day.  We even ate Lucky Charms for just about every meal since you two didn’t feel like eating much else.  You weren’t sick enough however to get excited when a Leprechaun visited you!  He appeared where the treasure was (luckily you beat him to it) and Lyla you got the biggest kick out of him!!!  It was hilarious.  You carried him around all day and called him “lecracan”.  I died when I walked past your box to find the Leprechaun sleeping there.  You’re so cute.  We also had to take him on every activity we went on for the following week.
