Day at the PCC! It was a long and hot day but was filled with tons of Fun. You two got a kick out of watching the man climb the tree and light the coconut on fire, making necklaces, tossing Poi balls, getting tribal tattoos, doing the Hula (Charlotte was too tired by this time but Lyla rocked it!! Cutest thing ever) and watching the men do the Haka. Their energy was so infectious that you two started grunting and putting on your mean face. It was hilarious! We didn’t hit every village but went where you were interested. We all loved the boat ride and the main show. Lyla got so excited and was completely enthralled by the beautiful Polynesian women dancing on the boats. By mid afternoon, Charlotte had had it and was sooo tired. I sent you two ahead and tried to get Charlotte down for a nap. I tried to find a secluded spot by the bathrooms to get you down but there was no such luck. It was so busy and you couldn’t settle. FINALLY, I had had it with the heat and your crying so I climbed into a tall flower bed behind the arena and nursed you to sleep. The things we do as parents. You finally went down and gently laid you into your stroller. By that time the Luau was starting and dad was holding my spot in a giant line. We were on the phone and I just got there when he said he was about to go in. Then I learned there was more than one luau and I was at the wrong one. Doh! He had to get out of line and we had to start over. It was miserable but we finally got in a sat with everyone. That’s when Charlotte woke up. Good grief. Luckily you were both good and enjoyed a local Hawaiian feast. We enjoyed the show and running around by the stream.
