Farewell Valentines

Valentines DAY

Dear Lyla and Lottie, happy Valentines Day my babies.  I know we don’t need a day to share our love.  I hope you feel our love for you every single day.  The word love hardly even captures how we feel for you both.  You’ve brought wonder, joy and complete happiness to our life.  AHHH.  We love you.  We celebrated Valentines Day on the weekend because we were going to be in Salt Lake on the actual day.  We were lucky enough to have dad there too.  We drank pink milk for breakfast and ate a heart-shaped donut (didn’t get a pic).  Later in the day we had chocolate fondue by candle-light Smile Lyla, you love chocolate so much so I knew this would be a big hit.  Lottie, you love everything so you too loved it!  Strawberries, goldfish, bananas, etc. …all delicious dipped in chocolate.  Then, we had a heart-shaped treasure hunt to find our Valentines presents!  Dad walked you around the house through the back-door to start your hunt.  I wasn’t sure what you’d do once you saw the trail of hearts but you  knew just what to do!  You got so excited and said “ohweee! hearts!”.  You followed the hearts all over the house until you found the presents waiting for you in Lottie’s room.  You were so proud of yourself and said “look mom, presents!”.  You and Lottie opened them together to find, hooded animals towels, jumbo jungle animals, books, and an Minnie Mouse movie.  You two loved them all.  After that we did some finger painting on paper and then in the tub!  IT was a big hit.  Dinner was a delicious heart-shaped pizza that didn’t look that heart-shaped.  LOL

Happy Valentines Day LOVES!

Valentines Party

Lyla and Lottie, we had a Valentines Day party at our house!  We invited all of your favorite friends like Addie,Reagan, Hadli, Gracie, Wes, Mckinley, Teague, and Halle.  We had a full day of partying with our friends Valentines style.  We ate yummy heart shaped food (including the best white chocolate red velvet brownies but that’s besides the point) and played and played and played.  The hit of the party was definitely the sensory bin filled with colored red, white and pink rice.  I was actually surprised that it engaged all the kids for so long, since there was varied ages.  You all dug, poured and sorted to your heart’s content.  Everyone also had a lot of fun decorating Valentine holders.  Lyla, you jammed heart-shaped décor on every inch of your box!  Lottie, you woke up just in time for the Valentine exchange, which was slightly overwhelming for you, and you almost got plowed over.  The exchange reminded me of a toddler wall-street.  It was so chaotic, loud, crazy and fun.  I’d say we had a wonderful day with all of our friends

The pre-photo-shoot.  Lottie went down for her nap before Lyla got ready so we didn’t get any together shots.  BOO
